Caps reset on the first of each calendar month. If you hit your recommendation or deploy cap mid-month, you can either wait for the reset or upgrade to the next tier — billing is prorated, so you only pay for the days you're on the new plan. Enterprise has no caps at all; usage is unlimited as part of the contract.

No. pinpole simulates AWS, Azure, and GCP services entirely in your browser using accurate pricing and performance models. You can design, simulate, and optimise architectures across all providers without any cloud credentials. Credentials are only required when you use Deploy to Cloud — and pinpole uses provider-native zero-trust auth workflows for each: STS for AWS, OIDC federation via Microsoft Entra ID for Azure, and Workload Identity Federation for GCP.

Starter ($19/mo or $15/mo billed annually, per seat) is for the indie engineer or weekend founder shipping a small number of architectures on a single cloud — 10 deploys and 200 recommendations per month is plenty for that motion, with Cloud Terminal and one-click apply. Pro ($49/mo or $39/mo billed annually, per seat) is for the senior IC designing production-grade infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP — 50 deploys and 1,000 recommendations per month, plus multi-environment deploy chains (Dev / UAT / Prod). If you hit Starter's caps two months in a row, Pro pays for itself.

Team is per-seat with a 3-seat minimum ($79/mo or $63/mo billed annually, per seat — from $237/mo or $189/mo entry for three seats). All seats share a pooled allowance of 500 deploys and 5,000 recommendations per month across all cloud providers. Add seats anytime — billing is prorated. The single biggest reason to upgrade from Pro is inviting a teammate: shared workspace, RBAC, and API access live here.
